Do You Need A Miracle

I wrote this one for a Christmas Album I did in 1993, released only on Cassette, with about 1,000 copies to friends and family. The story is based on the The Annunciation (from Latin annuntiatio), also referred to as the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Annunciation of Our Lady,[1] or the Annunciation of the Lord, is the Christian celebration of the announcement by the Archangel Gabriel to the Blessed Virgin Mary that she would conceive and become the mother of Jesus, the Jewish messiah and Son of God, marking His Incarnation.[2] Gabriel told Mary to name her son Jesus, meaning "YHWH is salvation".[3]
Being a Christian and a blues singer, trying to resolve the story, as a man coming to terms that his young wife to be, is pregnant, and having no sexual relations with her, this song deals with the issue of paternity, rather than accepting blindly that a miracle has occurred, which is one of the foundations of the Christian faith. I've only seen one miracle in my life, and can't confirm it through a medical examination. Whether or not Jesus came from a Virgin birth, or a normal one, is not mine. to call, but to learn from the teachings of Jesus, to try to treat my fellow man as he would.
