I wrote this song in 2007 when David Ritz sent me 4 or 5 lyrics to put to music.
If you're not familiar with David's work, He co-wrote Marvin Gaye's “Sexual Healing” which Won two Grammys, including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Instrumental Performance.
David is one of the most famous biographers in the world of Jazz blues and country artist such as Willie Nelson.
I met David Ritz when I was living in Dallas performing with Buster Brown and he introduced me to some of the great jazz artists living in Dallas at the time such as Fathead Newman and James Clay. We have remained friends through the years. I have so many unreleased recordings but I feel this was the time to release this one since it's spoke to me directly, about the commercialization of religion, politics, Private Jets, and MAGA McMega-churches. #DavidRitz.
