Black Dog

from World Blue by John Lee Sanders

/

about

Written by Jimmy Page and. Robert Plant, of Led Zeppelin, one of the greatest Rock Bands of all time. In 1991, on the last day of a 2 month Canadian tour with Long John Baldry, I showed up at the soundcheck in Vancouver, to see a Les Paul and a towering Marshall Stack, not the normal rig of our great guitarist, Papa John King, a black strat, and Fender Deluxe Reverb. Walking into the dressing room, was Jimmy Page, looking dapper with a black and white Polka Dot shirt and long scarf. It was a thrill working with him, and this is my funk tribute to Led Zeppelin.
